Factory Motor Parts Co. is seeking an experienced Development and Quality Chemist to lead formulation and lab testing for household/automotive products. You will develop testing methods, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with specifications while coordinating with production and customer service.

The role requires handling multiple projects, supervising lab staff, and advancing KPI-driven performance within a dynamic plant environment in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related sciences with 4+ years of formulating household/automotive chemical products.
• Experience developing testing methodologies and quality control procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment to test materials and finished goods.
• Develops & shares KPI results with management.
• Train, mentor, and supervise lab staff (permanent and temporary).
• Provide technical support to customer service and production.
• Review customer concerns and implement corrective actions.
