Anteris Technologies, a global structural heart company based in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer to advance a novel TAVR valve from concept through commercialization. The role offers collaboration across engineering, clinical, regulatory, and executive teams.

You will lead design activities across structural heart programs, partnering with clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing teams, and use SolidWorks along with imaging/analysis tools to deliver

Qualifications

  • PhD in Engineering, Physical Science or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years experience in medical device product design and development.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize device-tissue interactions through analysis of clinical/pre-clinical imaging datasets and benchtop data.
  • Lead R&D efforts in understanding anatomical and physiological landscape a TAVR system interacts with through implantation and life cycle.
  • Support design and development of a TAVR system through innovative, agile and objective design processes.
  • Develop comprehensive TAVR system test plans by defining boundary conditions and test parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align project objectives with design improvements.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and other tools to design and develop prototypes and components.
  • Support and communicate decisions through thorough engineering practices and data analysis.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
