Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in an R&D/advanced manufacturing or process development environment.
  • Experience with Pulsed Electro-Chemical Machining (PECM) or Electro-Chemical Finishing (ECF) or similar electrochemical technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing and owning complex manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage projects with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes from concept through commercialization.
  • Conduct research, experimentation, and testing to evaluate new technologies and improve existing manufacturing methods.
  • Design and execute process development plans, validation activities, and performance studies.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, and enhanced product quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and cross-functional teams to implement new manufacturing technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex process challenges and develop innovative technical solutions.
  • Support the transition of new processes from R&D into production environments.
  • Provide technical expertise on advanced machining and manufacturing technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on precision, productivity, and process capability.

Senior R&D Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

BioTalent is partnered with an innovative manufacturing organization seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to help drive the development of next-generation precision manufacturing technologies.

This is a highly specialized position focused on researching, developing, and implementing advanced manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from early-stage concept development through process validation, optimization, and production implementation. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the evolution of cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes from concept through commercialization.
  • Conduct research, experimentation, and testing to evaluate new technologies and improve existing manufacturing methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant hands‑on experience with:
  • Pulsed Electro-Chemical Machining (PECM)
  • Electro-Chemical Finishing (ECF)
  • Or similar electrochemical manufacturing technologies
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing and owning complex manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage projects with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced machining technologies such as:
  • CNC machining
  • Precision machining
  • Other non-traditional manufacturing methods
  • Background in manufacturing innovation and technology implementation.
  • Experience supporting new product development or advanced process development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with highly regulated, precision manufacturing environments.
