Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an R&D Electrical Engineer (Component Engineer) for digital IC CEPs in the Hi-Rel Commercial Technologies Department. You will assure CEPs meet demanding performance in high‑reliability systems, coordinate with SMEs across Sandia and KCNSC, and support multiple weapon programs.

The role emphasizes testing, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure quality CEPs for defense programs. Onsite work required with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; 5 years of directly relevant experience or equivalent combo.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical assurance of CEPs through testing and analysis.
• Document engineering and design decisions to preserve testing data and analyses.
• Plan, support, and execute testing activities; analyze data and present results.
• Provide SME expertise on assigned CEPs.
• Interface with product realization teams, test facilities, suppliers, and quality engineers.
• Support production acceptance activities at KCNSC; travel may be required.
