Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a motivated Senior/Principal R&D Electrical Engineer — Component Engineer (CE) for digital IC CEPs in the Hi-Reliability Commercial Technologies Department. You will join a team delivering thousands of CEPs to support the Electronic Parts Program, providing technical assurance for high‑reliability systems across Sandia and KCNSC.

You will collaborate with SMEs and engineers, plan and execute testing, document decisions, and contribute to reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 5+ years of directly relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
• Experience with digital ICs and hardware design/analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and SMEs to ensure technical assurance of CEPs
• Document engineering and design decisions and preserve testing analyses
• Plan, support, and execute CEP testing activities and analyze results
• Provide SME expertise on assigned CEPs
• Interface with product realization teams, test facilities, suppliers, and quality engineers
• Support production acceptance activities at KCNSC
• Coordinate with commercial electronics manufacturers
