Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Research & Development Sr Chemist/Chemist to join our Wisconsin team in Waukesha. You will lead development, optimization, and manufacturing of high-performance liquid-applied coatings while collaborating with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory groups.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, materials testing, scale-up of new and existing products, and delivering compliant formulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants, polymers, or related formulation chemistry.
• Senior Chemist: 5–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in product formulation and manufacturing support.
• Experience with coatings formulation, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Lead lab, pilot, and production-scale manufacturing trials.
• Evaluate and qualify alternative raw materials to maintain product performance and supply chain continuity.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
