Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Senior R&D Chemist in Walled Lake, MI for direct hire, on-site, full-time. The role focuses on developing and optimizing solvent and water-based coating formulations, and supporting new product launches in a manufacturing setting.

You will evaluate materials, conduct testing, and provide technical recommendations while scaling formulations from lab to production. A strong background in coatings and 1K/2K systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 15+ years of R&D formulation experience.
• Strong background in coatings formulation.
• Experience with 1K and 2K coating formulations.
• Experience with FTIR and laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of QMS, DOE, and SPC methodologies.
• Preferred polymer chemistry experience.
• Experience scaling formulations from lab to production.

Responsibilities
