Job summary

Riverlane is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the world’s first Quantum Error Correction (QEC) stack. The role sits in Engineering Research, focusing on research code, internal tools and production software.

You will translate new ideas into robust software and work with researchers across disciplines. You will collaborate with researchers to develop codes, decoders and associated logic, and contribute to tools for quantum simulation and analysis.

Qualifications

Proficiency in C++ and Python is essential.
Experience with collaborative programming.
Experience with CI/CD, containers, version control, static and dynamic code analysis.
Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
Experience shipping software to users and familiarity with quantum computing.
Experience with GPU programming.

Responsibilities

Develop research ideas and prototypes into correct, maintainable, and fast code.
Deliver reliable and optimised software implementations of decoding algorithms.
Extend Riverlane’s software tools for quantum simulation and QEC decoding.
Share expertise and collaborate with other teams to guide QEC stack development.
