Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking a Sr. Adv Atomic Physicist to drive development of advanced sensing technologies, including atomic clocks and optical sensors. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and is based in Redmond, WA with a hybrid work schedule.

You will influence a broad engineering portfolio and interact with customers to deliver innovative solutions. Qualifications include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; AMO physics or related field is required.
• 9+ years of R&D experience in AMO physics, especially quantum sensing technologies.
• Experience in technical leadership and working with customers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to publish results.
• Excellent written and oral communication and ability to work in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance atomic clock and atomic sensor technologies.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to mature concepts into practical devices.
• Engage with customers to define needs and deliver solutions through analysis and experiments.
• Contribute to design reviews and system-level requirements documentation.
• Support program activities including simulations, data analysis, and test procedures.
