Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Senior Advanced Atomic Physicist to drive development of quantum sensing and atomic clocks in Redmond, WA. You will translate complex physics into practical sensor solutions while collaborating with customers and engineers.

The role requires a strong AMO physics background, leadership experience, and proficiency with Matlab, Creo, SolidWorks, and MathCAD. Reports to the Director of Engineering, with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 6+ years of R&D experience in AMO physics, especially quantum sensing technologies.
• Experience in technical leadership.
• Experience with internal and external customers.
• Track record of solving difficult problems through innovation, analysis, engineering, and experimentation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in your field of research.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
• Excel lent ability to convey complex messages clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Fill a critical role in an atomic clock development program.
• Work with scientists and engineers to develop atomic sensor concepts and demonstrate them in devices.
• Engage with customers to define needs, then apply analysis and experimentation to deliver solutions.
• Grow the technology portfolio and shape future sensing technologies.
• Support design verification and qualification activities for R&D and customer-funded programs.
