You will work at the intersection of nonlinear materials, photonic device design, and quantum optical measurement, collaborating with fabrication, packaging, and systems teams to translate innovations into scalable production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with nonlinear and quantum photonic device design and fabrication.
• Experience with die- and wafer-level processes.
• Strong background in optical measurements.
• Familiarity with single-photon detection and HOM measurements.

Responsibilities

• Design nonlinear and quantum photonic devices such as waveguides and resonators.
• Develop and optimize fabrication processes for nonlinear optical materials.
• Lead device characterization including Q factors and efficiency.
• Design and run quantum optical measurements (SNSPD, HOM).
• Own chip tapeout and mask layout.
• Partner with teams to transfer designs into production.
• Document results, define specifications, and mentor junior engineers.
