Job summary

Mane, a UK leader in structural steelwork, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in the United States. You will manage financial and contractual aspects of subcontractor accounts across multiple nationwide projects, ensuring cost control and profitable outcomes.

Key duties include reviewing subcontract terms, handling valuations and final accounts, and advising internal teams on commercial risk and contractual issues. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in the construction industry, ideally structural steelwork.
• Experience in the structural steel sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong understanding of cost control, variations, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring financial and contractual control.
• Review, analyse and agree subcontract documentation, warranties and bonds.
• Investigate, prepare and submit variations, claims and measurements for valuations.
• Monitor and report on project costs, revenue performance, and cash flow.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Review, negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts for accuracy and compliance.
• Attend project sites nationwide to monitor progress and coordinate with teams.
