Job summary

NG Bailey in Canary Wharf, London, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and work on Europe’s largest and most technically advanced life sciences facility.

You will manage contracts, risks, payment applications, and sub-contract accounts while maintaining rigorous safety and compliance standards. Collaboration with operations ensures on-track progress and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with an M&E background.
• Experience with change and subcontract management.
• Familiarity with JCT form of contract.

Responsibilities

• Compliance: ensure adherence to legal and company policies in line with contractual obligations.
• Contract Management: understand project contract terms, manage risks and opportunities, and identify changes in line with NG Bailey’s obligations.
• Record Keeping: maintain comprehensive records to maximize contractual entitlements.
• Team Communication: collaborate with operational teams on risk and contract terms, keeping a pulse on project status.
• Payment Applications: prepare and submit applications to secure payment, substantiating compensation or variations.
• Sub-Contract Management: manage sub-contract accounts through to final account settlement with support.
• Progress Monitoring: control project progress with the operational team, providing accurate internal reporting.
• Project Reporting: ensure timely availability of all project reports, applications, certificates, and payments.
• Negotiation: negotiate to settle the project account with the client, with support.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with an M&E background.
• A degree or HNC level qualification, or significant relevant experience.
• Experience in change and subcontract management.
• Familiarity with JCT form of contract.
