Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to support a major infrastructure program in Texas. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area, you will work at project sites throughout North Texas and participate in cost management, estimating, forecasting, and change control.

The role is fully on-site, with accommodations including workforce housing, internet access, laundry, transportation, and on-site meals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification or membership with RICS, CIOB, AIQS, NZIQS, CIQS, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of quantity surveying experience on major construction projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure, data center, or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project cost management process from project commencement through closeout.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed budgets, cost plans, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review contract documents and ensure compliance with commercial obligations.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize change orders and claims.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurement of works.
  • Validate progress claims and applications for payment from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly client valuations and payment applications.
  • Provide detailed cost reporting and commercial updates to senior management.
  • Lead commercial meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
  • Provide commercial guidance to project teams and site management.
  • Lead commercial reviews and contribute to project strategy and decision-making.

About the Role:

Currie & Brown is seeking an Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to support a major infrastructure program in Texas. Candidates should be based in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) metro area and willing to work at project sites located throughout North Texas.

The successful candidate will support cost management, estimating, commercial oversight, forecasting, subcontractor management, and change control activities across complex construction packages.

This is a fully on-site, site-based position requiring daily support at active construction locations.
