Job summary

Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of Quantitative System Pharmacology (QSP) to drive Model-Informed Drug Development across preclinical, translational, and clinical stages. Reporting to the VP of Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics, this role may be based in Waltham, MA in a hybrid capacity or fully remote.

Travel to headquarters may be required. The role requires a PhD with 6+ years in QSP/T and related modeling, with hands-on use of MATLAB/SimBiology, MoBi,

Qualifications

• Requires a PhD or equivalent with a minimum of 6+ years of combined academic and biotech/pharmaceutical experience in QSP/T, (m)PBPK, mathematics, chemical/biomedical engineering, physics, or Translational Sciences, including experience with therapeutic antibodies.
• Demonstrated success contributing preclinical, translational, and clinical pharmacology aspects across program stages.
• Independent hands-on proficiency in MATLAB/SimBiology, MoBi, GastroPlus/PK-Sim, R, or other software.
• Ability to present ideas and data interpretation for complex quantitative clinical concepts in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute the fit-for-purpose MIDD strategy to accelerate program advancement.
• Contribute QSP or (m)PBPK modeling in autoimmune or inflammation for biologicals and propose combination approaches leveraging QSP models.
• Provide mechanistic modeling and simulation support to assigned programs.
• Survey literature to enable quantitative system pharmacology modeling and simulation.
• Collaborate with biologists, discovery chemistry, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, and other functions to improve disease mechanism understanding.
• Maintain QSP expertise and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
• Advance cross-functional communication of QSP/(m)PBPK results to program teams.
