Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Index Research & Design team. You will design Python-based software, build scalable data pipelines, and contribute to AI-enabled development on AWS.

Collaborate with quantitative researchers and engineers to transform research ideas into production-ready software, champion CI/CD, testing, and API design across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software for data-intensive environments.
• Expert Python programming and maintainable code.
• Experience with Polars, PyArrow, and SQL for large datasets.
• Cloud experience on AWS or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of APIs, data engineering, and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python software, libraries, and reusable components for index research.
