Qualifications

• 6+ years of quantitative research experience in retirement, household finance, economics, public policy, or related field.
• BA in economics, finance, public policy, statistics, or related quantitative discipline, or equivalent applied research experience.
• Strong applied econometrics and research-design skills with observational data or longitudinal analysis.
• Proficiency in a statistical language such as Stata, R, or Python.
• Ability to translate complex results for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead original research projects from concept through publication with senior researchers.
• Conduct econometric analysis using workplace retirement plan and survey data.
• Translate findings into accessible articles, publications, and client-ready content.
• Present research insights to internal and external audiences, clients, and conferences.
• Collaborate across Morningstar to connect retirement research with policy, product, and client applications.
