Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in Python or Java with production code experience.
• Practical cloud native experience with AWS services and IaC (Terraform), S3/EC2/EMR.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, resilience, and security.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting across complex problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code from peers.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC toolchain know-how to increase automation and value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architecture.
