Job description

A global professional services firm seeks a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their dynamic team. The Senior Financial Analyst joining the Quantitative Analysis team will leverage their transactional and financial modeling experience to play an integral role in supporting the leadership for the Corporate Department’s leading practice groups, including Emerging Companies, Capital Markets, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop client-facing capitalization models to be used in M&A transactions, SPAC, deSPAC, and early stage/venture capital financing engagements.
  2. Work with attorneys to update models as the terms of the deal progress.
  3. Produce financial models including pro-forma capitalizations, liquidation waterfalls, merger consideration spreadsheets, voting models, and IPO S-1 models.
  4. Develop and maintain training materials as well as mentor and train our team of analysts and associates.
  5. Engage with attorney deal teams on transactions, requiring critical reading of agreements and financial modeling support.
  6. Advise the internal deal team using knowledge gained from analysis, answering questions regarding data, analytical methods, and assumptions.
  7. Effectively communicate analysis and work product to partners, associates, and external clients.
  8. Maintain detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, and sources of information used during analytical tasks.
  9. Participate in education classes for attorneys related to quantitative analysis work.
  10. Develop and maintain training materials such as reference guides and training presentations.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  2. A financial/industry qualification (CFA) or a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is ideal.
  3. A minimum of five (5) years of related analytical experience at a professional services organization in corporate finance, consulting, or M&A.

Compensation:
$130,000-$160,000 per year
