Job summary

Metal Craft Machine & Engineering in Elk River, MN is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure materials and finished goods meet customer standards. Inspect incoming materials, in-process, and final products; perform first article inspections and set-up.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years QA experience, GD&T knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams while complying with ISO and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; preferred associates degree in Quality Assurance or related manufacturing field.
• Minimum 2-5 years quality assurance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct receiving, in-process, final inspections, and first piece set-up utilizing measuring tools to verify dimensional and functional requirements.
• Conduct visual examination of product in accordance with customer specifications and company workmanship standards.
• Perform formal documented First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for internal and external customers.
• Prepare, maintain, and review inspection reports.
• Perform containment activities preventing potential or additional quality defects.
• Assist in the development of in-process control charts for monitoring/improving performance.
• Provide audit support and assist with data collection and product review as requested.
• Communicate with cross-functional areas; supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, quality engineering, customer service, production planning.
