Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds in Richfield, WI seeks a senior Quality Assurance professional to oversee advanced dimensional inspections and control plans, leveraging PC-DMIS and CMM capabilities. The role emphasizes GD&T interpretation, AS9100/ISO 9001 audits, and PPAP support within a precision machining environment.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with engineering and production, and drive process improvements while ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment; 7+ years preferred
• Hands-on experience programming and operating PC-DMIS for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
• Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced dimensional inspections of machined components using precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, micrometers, calipers)
• Interprets complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements
• Conducts First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 or customer requirements
• Develops, reviews, and maintains inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation
• Supports PPAP submissions and customer qualification processes
• Leads root cause analysis and corrective action for nonconforming product
• Assists in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
• Mentors and trains junior QA technicians and production personnel on quality processes
• Participates in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, AS9100, customer audits)
• Collaborates with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and prevent recurrence of quality issues
• Ensures compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements
