Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure effective measurement of parts, interpret CMM reports, and perform inspections per drawings and work instructions. The role supports corrective actions and structured problem solving within a fast-paced machining environment.

Responsibilities include First Article and Receiving Inspections, containment of non-conforming material, and ongoing quality assurance activities. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate’s or technical degree.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and Datum Structures.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• CMM Programming a Plus.
• Understanding of Capability studies and Gage RR.
• 5+ years related experience in a fast paced machining environment.
• Skilled in blueprint reading.
• Understand how to read and choose measurement devices.
• Understand how to read CMM Reports.
• Use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective and efficient measurement of parts.
• Interpret CMM Reports and validate suspect measurements.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of product based on documented company specifications (i.e. drawing, procedure, work instructions, etc.).
• Perform work in accordance to established SPI’s and Standard Work.
• Participate in corrective and preventative actions.
• Participate in structured problem solving for root cause evaluation.
• Complete First Article Inspections and Receiving Inspections.
• Initiate Containment when Non-Conforming Material is found.
• Participates in departmental projects, as needed.
• Performs product and process inspections as directed.
• Safety minded and upholds all requirements.
• Other assigned duties according to business needs.
