Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Austin, TX is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure materials, components and processes meet established quality standards on the shop floor. You will perform inspections, document data, and support root-cause analysis to maintain product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of QC experience in manufacturing, reads blueprints, and can operate calipers, micrometers and gauges.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of quality control experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written/spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials and finished goods.
• Interpret test results and compare against specifications and control limits.
• Perform visual inspections and verify product conformity.
• Calibrate, validate, and maintain inspection and testing equipment.
• Document testing activities and provide quality data.
• Investigate out-of-spec results and report accordingly.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow stop-work guidelines and communicate concerns promptly.
