Job summary

PK Industrial in Houston, TX is seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Control Technician to join our coatings team. You will perform visual inspections, tests, and evaluations of coatings throughout production to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires 7–10 years in coating quality inspection, proficiency with measuring equipment, and strong attention to detail. Travel up to 35% and a vehicle allowance are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in quality control or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in quality control or a similar role within an industrial setting is required.
• Proficiency in using measuring and testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and deviations from quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work and communicate clearly with clients and inspectors.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of industrial coatings and surface finishing processes.
• Knowledge of intumescent fireproofing coatings processes and inspection.
• Safety-conscious with a commitment to following safety protocols.

Senior Quality Control Technician

Location: Houston, Texas

Salary Range:$40-45 per hour (depending on experience) plus benefits and vehicle allowance

Travel: 35% (per diem when traveling)

Hours: Monday - Friday minimum 7 am - 5 pm and weekends as needed.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Technician to join our team in our Gulf Coast Region. The Senior Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the application of various coating materials fit the purpose, customer's expectations, and legal compliance required for each project. The Senior QC Technician will follow all procedures necessary to ensure the quality and integrity of our coatings applications by conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations of products throughout the production process. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and client satisfaction.

Position Requirements:

• 7-10 years minimum experience in the coating's quality inspection field.

What will make you stand out:

• Experience as an applicator prior to working QC is a huge plus.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
