Curtis, a Rehlko company, is seeking a Senior Quality Specialist / Inspector. This role is responsible for quality assurance, part inspection activities, and compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements. The role involves conducting audits, reviewing documentation and data, creating inspection reports, procedures, and quality acceptance specifications, and reviewing and approving ECR/ECNs. The ideal candidate should be familiar with standard quality concepts, practices, and procedures, and use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Essential Functions

• Perform and document inspections of raw materials, fabrication, sub-assemblies, and finished products from first article production lots and new or modified tools.
• Evaluate first production assemblies and components from Curtis manufacturing sites.
• Perform and/or direct procedure and instruction audits.
• Create training documents and procedures for equipment use and manufacturing site training.
• Audit key processes and ensure procedure compliance.
• Collect defect data, analyze it, prepare reports, and initiate corrective actions.
• Review and approve ECR/ECNs.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain current calibration of inspection equipment and coordinate measuring machines.
• Manage record systems as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical inspection.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (Zeiss preferred), Optical Comparators, and manual measurement tools.
• Broad background in quality assurance systems and process flows.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards such as GD&T, ASTM, IPC, and others.
• Knowledge of production part approval processes (PPAP) and sampling standards (AQL).
• Strong communication, organizational, and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and databases.

Work Mode and Location

Hybrid work mode: 4 days in-office at 235 E Airway Blvd, Livermore, CA.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
