Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a Quality Shop Manager in Aurora, CO to lead the Quality Management System across fabrication and manufacturing facilities. You will drive compliance, craftsmanship, and operational execution while mentoring quality personnel and cross-functional leads.

The role demands 10+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years in senior quality leadership, a strong Lean background, and knowledge of ISO QMS, ASME, and AISC standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing operations with 5+ years in senior quality or operations leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years Lean Manufacturing experience; Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a strong plus.
• Deep knowledge of ISO QMS, ASME, and AISC standards, blueprint reading, and QA testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality System Management: implement, maintain, and continuously improve an ISO-level QMS across facilities.
• Maintain accreditation and guide teams through external audits.
• Direct inspection and testing operations using QA/QC systems to verify code compliance.
• Partner with department managers, operations, engineering, and PM teams to transition work from design to production.
• Oversee quality records and deliver feedback to stakeholders.
• Monitor facilities and sites to ensure adherence to building codes and specs.
• Train and mentor employees on installation practices and compliance standards.
• Apply Lean principles to drive continuous improvement across shop operations.
• Champion safety culture and stop-work authority.
