Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager with Regulatory experience to lead plant-level QA functions and ensure full compliance with USDA, BRC, and customer expectations. The role includes mentoring the QA team and owning quality systems end-to-end, from micro testing to audits.

You will drive root-cause analysis, CAPA, and documentation improvements while collaborating with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and R&D on continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in food manufacturing quality or food safety, with leadership experience.
• Direct experience in USDA-regulated facilities (meat, poultry, protein).
• Strong knowledge of BRC, SQF, or GFSI standards.
• HACCP certified (PCQI a plus).
• Experience with SSOPs, micro testing, and USDA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level QA functions and mentor QA team.
• Manage USDA interactions, inspections, NRs, and pre-op.
• Oversee internal and third-party audit preparation (BRC, SQF, customer audits).
• Oversee HACCP and SSOP programs, including updates and training.
• Review micro results, product holds, and release documentation.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and GFSI regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and R&D during trials.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Maintain QA documentation, SOPs, and recordkeeping.
• Support training programs to drive food safety culture.
