Job summary

Technique, Inc. in Jackson, Michigan, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality organization across fabrication and assembly. You will own customer-facing quality performance, drive PPAP submission, RCCA, and continuous improvement aligned with ISO 9001.

You will report to the Director of Quality, manage a quality team, and govern KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, scrap rate, and first-pass yield on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Quality Control, or related field preferred
• Minimum 10 years of related quality experience in production manufacturing
• ASQ membership and CMQ/OE preferred; CQE, CQA, or CWI a plus
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001; familiarity with AS9100/IATF 16949 a benefit
• AIAG core tool fluency: APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC
• Experience with welding/fabrication and special process quality

Responsibilities

• Customer Quality Leadership – lead RCCA using 8D, 5 Why, and CI
• Customer Source Inspections – drive corrective actions to nonconformance
• Complaint Response Management – ensure on-time closure of actions
• Quality KPI Ownership – own KPIs like PPM, COPQ, scrap, first-pass yield
• QMS Support & Continuous Improvement – align with ISO 9001
• Internal Audit Program – conduct audits and follow-up corrective actions
• Documentation – manage controlled quality submissions per document control
• Leader ship – coach Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Auditors
