Job summary

Laborup seeks a Senior Quality Manager for its new, state-of-the-art precision manufacturing facility in Horsham, PA. You will own the AS9100 QMS, lead the quality team, and partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to meet stringent customer requirements.

You will drive CAPA, RCA, and continuous improvement, maintaining a strong quality presence on the shop floor and leading audits to ensure top-tier product quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of quality experience in precision manufacturing or machining.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001.
• Experience leading quality personnel and driving CAPA.

Job description

We’re hiring an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead the quality function at a new, state-of-the-art precision manufacturing facility in Horsham, PA.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands quality from both sides: owning the Quality Management System at a high level while staying closely connected to the manufacturing floor.

You’ll lead the site’s quality organization, own AS9100, develop the quality team, drive corrective actions and continuous improvement, and partner directly with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure complex, close-tolerance components consistently meet demanding customer requirements.

This is an opportunity to build and improve a quality organization, not simply maintain an existing system.

What You’ll Own

• Lead the day-to-day Quality function and quality team
• Own and maintain the site's AS9100 Quality Management System
• Lead Management Review, quality objectives, and site-level KPIs
• Drive performance around COPQ, scrap, rework, customer escapes/returns, and corrective-action effectiveness
• Maintain a strong Quality presence directly on the manufacturing floor
• Lead investigations involving nonconformances, customer complaints, corrective actions, and quality escapes
• Drive root-cause analysis and CAPA through effective resolution
• Lead and support internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits
• Own and improve First Article Inspection (FAI) and production inspection processes
• Support MRB and make sound disposition decisions based on requirements and risk
• Establish inspection plans, control plans, sampling methods, and quality documentation
• Oversee CMM, dimensional inspection, metrology, and calibration systems
• Utilize SPC and quality data to identify trends and reduce defects
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop robust, repeatable processes

• 7+ years of Quality experience within precision manufacturing or machining
• Previous experience in Quality leadership or senior Quality management
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
• Experience in a close-tolerance CNC machining environment
• Strong technical understanding of CNC machining, GD&T, CMM inspection, dimensional inspection, and engineering drawings
• Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and CAPA
• Experience with FAI and production inspection requirements
• Experience conducting or supporting internal and external audits
• Ability to use quality data and KPIs to identify problems and drive measurable improvement
• Experience leading and developing Quality personnel
• Comfortable balancing QMS leadership with the daily needs of a manufacturing operation
