Job summary

RTUS in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior SQF Quality Manager to oversee quality, food safety, and compliance in a fast-paced packaging environment. You will lead the site’s SQF/FSMS, ensure regulatory and customer standards, and drive CAPA and supplier quality programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in a related field with 7+ years of quality/food safety experience (3+ in leadership) and strong HACCP/audit expertise. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, Packaging, Manufacturing, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive quality/food safety experience in manufacturing (3+ years in leadership)
• Experience administrating an SQF-certified comparable GFSI-recognized management system
• Formal HACCP training and working knowledge of risk-based food safety planning
• Strong experience with internal auditing, corrective action, root-cause analysis, supplier, quality, document control, and traceability
• Knowledge of regulatory, customer, specification, and certification requirements
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality/document-management systems

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site’s SQF and Food Safety Management Systems
• Oversee HACCP, GMP, sanitation, food safety, and quality programs
• Lead SQF certification, recertification, internal audits, and corrective actions
• Establish and maintain product inspection, testing, sampling, and quality standards
• Investigate customer complaints, defects, nonconformances, and recurring quality issues
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions; Manage supplier quality and raw material requirements
• Ensure effective product identification, traceability, holds, release, and recall procedures
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and food-contact requirements
• Lead quality and food safety training and help develop quality team members
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Sales, and Operations to improve processes and product quality
• Monitor quality KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQF Quality Manager to oversee quality, food safety, and compliance programs within a fast-paced food-contact packaging manufacturing environment. This role will provide site-level leadership for the Quality and Food Safety Management System while ensuring products, processes, and documentation meet SQF, customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
