Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Quality Leader to drive the Quality organization at Schenectady Manufacturing. This on-site role leads quality strategy, zero-defect culture, and KPI improvement across manufacturing operations.

The role requires strong cross-functional leadership, problem solving, and the ability to influence teams to reduce CoPQ while ensuring compliance with engineering documentation and control plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2-3 years in Manufacturing Quality
• Bachelor's degree with 3-4 years in Manufacturing Quality
• High School Diploma / GED with 6+ years in Manufacturing Quality

Responsibilities

• Foster a zero-defect culture to deliver trusted units, spare parts and repairs.
• Protect customers through rigorous, transparent systemic problem solving and lessons learned.
• Drive systematic root cause solutions.
• Own all site Quality KPIs and continuous improvement activities.
• Own quality assurance and control for assigned products/manufacturing area.
• Conform manufacturing goods and lead complex root cause investigations to eliminate production non-conformances.
• Influence cross-functional teams within supply chain to solve problems and address risk.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance capability and performance.
• Review engineering drawings and work instructions for quality and compliance.
• Initiate actions to ensure project/team success and mitigate risks.
• Ensure control plans and documentation are implemented and maintained.
• Contribute to continuous improvement as part of cross-functional teams.
• Review technical docs for Quality and Compliance and act as approval authority.
• Promote sustainment and continuous improvement of Built in Quality framework.
• Role is 100% onsite with deep connection to the manufacturing floor.
