Job summary

The People Placers is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Camden, NJ to hire an experienced Quality Manager. You will oversee the plant's quality program, drive customer and supplier quality, audits, testing, and corrective actions, while supporting safety and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the plant management team, you will lead 5S, maintain ISO 9001 alignment, manage audits, and work with vendors to resolve material-related quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience managing plant quality programs in packaging/manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• FSC/SFI standards knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of the plant's quality program.
• Interpret specifications and translate to manufacturing standards.
• Establish inspection, testing and QA methodologies.
• Manage customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers on quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain QMS procedures and forms.
• Conduct in-process checks and testing.
• Lead internal and third-party quality audits.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and safety adherence.
