Quality Lab Engineer will perform rapid lab analyses, root‑cause investigations, and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to reduce defects and improve performance. On‑site in Sparks, NV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• Experience with chromatography, ICP, SEM/EDS, FTIR, TGA or similar.
• Experience with materials characterization and electrochemistry.
• 8+ years of engineering or laboratory experience.
• Familiar with quality tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Providing rapid lab analyses for production support and root cause analysis.
• Conducting chemical/materials analyses to change and improve processes.
• Performing failure analysis to address quality or reliability concerns.
• Using analytical instrumentation to support multiple groups within the organization.
• Analyzing process data to reduce defects and improve battery performance.
• Providing support to the cell manufacturing process to resolve production quality issues.
• Supporting customers to resolve claims on cell production quality issues.
