Job summary

Ryder in the United States is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations within a 136,000-square-foot distribution and kitting facility supporting complex commercial products. The role manages eight Quality Associates and drives CAPA, customer audits, and resolution of quality concerns.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and a background in quality management systems, auditing, and process improvement across warehousing or distribution.

Qualifications

• Leading quality operations within a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
• Managing and developing teams of Quality Associates, Inspectors, or Quality Technicians.
• Conducting root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Primary contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and issue resolution.
• Presenting quality findings and recommendations to customers and leadership.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Influencing cross-functional stakeholders and handling tough quality discussions.
• Using quality metrics and trend analysis to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried and hourly employees, resolve performance issues, ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to meet needs and expectations.
• Be responsible for payroll.
• Analyze weekly/monthly P&L and provide financial data and operations reports.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Hold Safety & Security meetings and provide safety training.
