Job summary

Actalent in Katy, TX is seeking aQuality Technician to support manufacturing by conducting detailed inspections and documenting non-conformances. The role collaborates with operations and supply chain to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement under QMS controls.

The successful candidate will perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections, maintain calibration of tools, and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a Quality Technician in manufacturing or production.
• Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Proficient in visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance in production/assembly.
• Experience performing quality checks throughout production to ensure specs.
• Mechanical understanding of components, assemblies, and processes.
• Ability to work with supply chain and supplier quality engineers on non-conformances.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and QMS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming components and generator set assemblies per QMS documentation.
• Document supplier or transport non-conformances and report issues.
• Verify product standards and QC programs for new and repaired parts.
• Maintain production area safety and adhere to QMS and safety goals.
• Control and revise inspection documents per QMS requirements.
• Support continual improvement via NCRs and supplier quality initiatives.
• Ensure tools and meters are calibrated and maintained.
• Provide quality feedback to production and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with leadership to address quality and timing issues.
• Report performance of Quality and HSE management systems.
