Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Sterling, VA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform complex inspections and NDT on aerospace components, ensuring adherence to quality policies and procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints and electrical schematics, using measuring tools, and verifying documentation. SAP and other systems are used to record results; travel up to ~5% and lifting up to 25 pounds are expected. U.S. citizenship or clearance eligibility is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent vocational/technical education) with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Must be eligible for DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect units with measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers) using proper techniques.
• Read, interpret and apply quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and documents.
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of hardware and components.
• Operate SAP and other systems to perform inspection tasks.
• Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.
• Complete unit shake-downs to check for foreign objects and loose hardware.
• Conduct PMRs as needed and assist with third-party inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned; read/interprete blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Occasional travel (~5%) with potential overnights; lift up to 25 pounds.
