Job summary

Mace in New York is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Gateway Program and Hudson Tunnel Project, ensuring compliance with project specifications and QA standards.

You will assist with the Quality Management Plan, perform contractor audits, review test results, and maintain thorough testing logs. The role requires field presence and collaboration with engineers and contractors, with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection/QA experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Knowledge of QA processes, materials testing, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities, materials, and workmanship to specs.
• Support the project’s Quality Management Plan and procedures.
• Conduct quality audits of contractors and subcontractors.
• Review testing plans and maintain testing logs.
• Prepare quality reports (daily, monthly, quarterly).
• Coordinate materials testing with off-site labs.
• Collaborate with resident engineers and contractors to resolve issues.
• Document nonconforming work and track corrective actions.
