Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California, seeks a Quality Inspector III to perform dimensional inspections and verify parts against drawings and contracts. You will work hands-on with CAI tools, CMMs, and Verisurf, supporting aerospace and defense programs alongside engineers and customers.

Ideal candidates have extensive GD&T knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior inspectors while traveling for source inspections as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of dimensional inspection experience.
• 3+ years operating surface plates and CAI equipment (CMM Verisurf) at the operator level.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work independently.
• Fluent in English, strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections ensuring drawings and contractual requirements.
• Use GD&T and CAI equipment to verify parts.
• Operate CMMs and Verisurf software at the operator level.
• Collaborate with engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors.
• Travel for source inspections as needed.
