Job summary

UCT in Austin, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector II to perform detailed mechanical inspections across production to ensure compliance with engineering specs and quality standards. This role supports audits, generates inspection reports, and resolves nonconformance issues.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience reading drawings, BOMs, and GD&T, with hands-on experience using CMMs and inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate MS Office & database software proficiency.
• Must read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Intermediate GD&T interpretation for daily tasks.
• Operate manual CMMs and edit CMM programs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical inspection to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Inspect raw materials, components, assemblies and subassemblies.
• Perform First Piece / First Article inspections as required.
• Generate detailed inspection and nonconformance reports.
• Read engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate records.
• Support internal/external audits and cross-functional teams.
