Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Sr. Inspector, Quality to perform semi-complex inspection with limited guidance in a team environment.

You will maintain records, determine acceptance, and document inspection results using a range of measuring instruments, including CMMs, to ensure conformance to specifications. The role requires experience with drawings, tolerances, and mechanical inspection techniques, plus the ability to work safely and lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Three years related inspection and calibration experience.
• Preferred CMM operations experience and ANSI Y 14.5 tolerancing knowledge.
• Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
• Proficient in reading/interpreting blueprints, specs and drawings.
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry.
• May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Maintain acceptance/rejection records and certifications per specifications.
• Determine acceptance after inspection/calibration; document results.
• Interpret, evaluate and document inspection results per procedures.
• Perform inspections per specifications, standards and contracts.
• Observe safety rules and maintain a FOD-free area.
• Perform other related responsibilities.
• Conduct semi-complex inspections on machined parts with various instruments.
• Develop inspection setups for samples, forgings and castings.
• Perform first article and envelope inspections and source inspections.
• Interpret data to determine acceptance/rejection and document measurements.
