Job summary

Beckwood Press Company in Fenton, MO, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector to ensure products meet quality standards throughout production. The role involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating machined and fabricated components, interpreting drawings, and documenting results.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to address NCRs, support supplier quality, and contribute to a clean, well-organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong inspection discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Proficient in documenting inspection results and NCRs.
• Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of machined and fabricated components using precision tools.
• Utilize FaroArm and other measurement devices to verify conformance.
• Interpret drawings and specifications and determine acceptance criteria.
• Document results and maintain accurate NCR records.
• Collaborate with Procurement to support supplier quality initiatives.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

The Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet the company's quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and delivering high-quality products to customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of machined and fabricated components using tools such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and thread gauges.
• Utilize FaroArm and other tools to complete necessary measurements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records per company procedures.
• Document and report all non-conforming parts (NCR).
• Collaborate with Procurement to support supplier quality initiatives and implement a vendor inspection program.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to work toward investigating root cause issues and corresponding corrective actions.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings following GD&T principles.
• Maintain open lines of communication with production team to prioritize critical components.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
