Job summary

Rise Baking Company seeks a Quality Assurance Manager in Colton, CA to lead quality assurance, food safety, employee safety, and regulatory compliance across the facility. You will ensure products and programs meet internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities include overseeing HACCP and Food Safety teams, maintaining GFSI standards, managing audits, recall programs, and environmental health and safety initiatives, while guiding continuous improvement and budgeting for the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
• HACCP, PCQI, and OSHA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years QA and food safety leadership in food/manufacturing.
• GFSI knowledge (BRC or SQF) preferred and internal auditing experience.
• Experience leading regulatory inspections and budgeting.
• Strong computer skills including ERP and MS Office.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products.
• Maintain the facility GFSI audit standard and recall program leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies, cGMPs, and product specs.
• Manage QA, HACCP, and EHS teams; review changes and identify risks.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions for improvement.
• Lead internal/external audits for Quality, Food Safety, and EHS systems.
• Provide OSHA guidance and ensure training on safety and quality concepts.
• Oversee non-conforming product program and corrective actions.
• Support new product development with quality and safety reviews.
• Budget management for the QA/EHS department and personnel decisions.
