Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred
• 3+ years of quality experience in the food industry; knowledge of food safety programs and systems: GFSI (SQF preferred), internal auditing, GMPs, HACCP, FSMA
• HACCP and PCQI certified or willing to become certified

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of QA Technicians and develop measurable goals
• Train and mentor QA Technicians on food safety, quality, and legality
• Manage shift planning and work assignments for Quality Assurance
• Oversee food safety programs, quality standards, and compliance with regulations
• Inspect incoming ingredients and verify against specifications
• Investigate out-of-spec products and coordinate corrective actions
• Liaise externally with customers and vendors on quality processes
• Assist during inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
• Support certifications such as organic, non-GMO, kosher
