Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Quality Manager in Torrance, CA to own program quality end to end and lead the Quality Engineering team, ensuring product quality across multiple process areas from receipt to delivery.

You will drive NAVSEA and SUBSAFE integration into the AS9100D QMS, manage non-conformances and supplier quality, and partner with Build Engineering and Operations to maintain top-tier quality for the Nautilus program.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality within defense, marine, nuclear, or aerospace manufacturing with people management.
• AS9100 / ISO 9001 expertise; integrate customer and regulatory requirements into a QMS.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA and SUBSAFE / Material Level I requirements and traceability.
• Track record building quality processes and teams in fast-scaling manufacturing.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. person under ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Engineering team across sheet metal, welding and forming, NDT, foundry and forging, machining, and additive manufacturing.
• Close open QE positions, set priorities, ensure quality coverage in all process areas.
• Coach QEs, set consistent standards of practice, grow welding and NDT competencies.
• Represent quality with Build Engineering, Operations, and the program team; escalation point for quality decisions.
• Oversee Nautilus program quality: first-article inspection (AS9102), product qualification, and build quality evidence.
• Integrate NAVSEA and SUBSAFE / Material Level I requirements into the AS9100D QMS.
• Control non-conforming material and escapes; drive root-cause and corrective action to closure.
• Flow requirements to suppliers, verify certifications and OQE at receipt.
• Prepare for and lead NAVSEA, customer, and AS9100 audits; maintain internal-audit posture.
• Report quality KPIs, escape trends, and program quality status to leadership.
