Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks a Senior Operations Technical Leader for System & Core Technologies Quality Engineering, guiding cross-functional teams through development and mass production.

You’ll partner with Engineering to enable operational success, drive quality metrics, and implement new technologies across Connectors, Haptics, Camera, depth, and related modules. Regular travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Quality experience in New Product Introduction, Design Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.
• MS/PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Experience partnering with off-shore manufacturers, high-volume production, and travel to manufacturing sites.
• Strong statistical and data analytics skills (statistical process control and sampling).
• Data-driven, results-oriented problem solving and failure analysis techniques.
• Experience leading functional engineering teams (ME, EE, TE, DFX or similar).
• Clear, consistent communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Operations technical teams during product development and high-volume production.
• Drive readiness for all phases of the introduction cycle, including pre-production with contract manufacturers.
• Own and drive key operational metrics such as yield and UPH for ramp readiness.
• Develop and implement new technologies to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
• Generate Product Quality Plans (PQP) and monitor OQC and customer audits at OEM sites.
• Lead quality improvement forums and provide regular program health communications.
• International travel up to 25% and collaboration with OEM partners.
