Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to ensure quality across the supply chain. You will manage inspection criteria, lead MRB and RCCA efforts, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive closed-loop quality improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a technical bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience (or a Master’s with 3+ years) and have AS9100/ISO 9001 knowledge, IPC CIS, and travel readiness for supplier audits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, particularly for cables and PCBAs.
• Problem solving and data-driven decision making in a highly technical environment.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Technical aptitude for learning new computer applications and systems.
• Effective communication in person and in writing on technical details.
• Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) for IPC/WHMA-A-620 & IPC-A-610 standards.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and related quality systems.
• Willingness to travel across the country to audit suppliers (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Manage inspection criteria for diverse parts and products.
• Lead MRB meetings to disposition nonconforming material.
• Lead RCCA activities and implement closed-loop improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems.
• Analyze datasets to inform inspection criteria and material disposition decisions.
• Ensure supplier audits, onboarding, and performance reviews meet quality goals.
• Review designs and manufacturing work instructions for feedback.
• Generate and manage FAIRs per AS9102 requirements.
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to Quality Technicians and engineers; assist inspections as needed.
