Job summary

Borusan Pipe is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure that all steel pipe manufacturing meets internal quality standards and customer specifications. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for process improvement.

The role emphasizes data analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities, with reporting to the Director of Quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; Metallurgical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in steel, pipe, or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in multi-facility manufacturing environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train teams.
• Familiarity with ISO/ASTM standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Excel and Minitab (or similar) for quality reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance across plant ops including ERW Mill, Stretch Reduction, heat treat, hydro testing, and shipping.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to ensure adherence to specs and standards.
• Investigate non-conforming products, perform root-cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
• Maintain quality documentation and records per standards.
