Job summary

Amentum Kennedy Space Center is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan and direct quality standards from processing materials to finished products on the KPLSS II program. You will lead QA/QC activities, supervise quality projects, and ensure product conformance to customer and company requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel. Security clearance may be required and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to quality, safety, physical science, or engineering with minimum 5 years experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing quality‑related data.
• Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of MS Office program and integrated software applications.

Responsibilities

• Technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects.
• Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s).
• Develops corrective actions using various root cause analysis techniques.
• Maintains the site’s nonconformance and corrective/preventive action tracking system.
• Performs internal audits and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
