Star Catcher Industries, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Mechanical Design Engineer to own the spacecraft mechanical configuration and the mass properties budget.

The role defines interfaces to subcontractors, customers and launch-vehicle hardware, and drives the drafting standard and GD&T practices per ASME Y14.5. The engineer will lead the drawing review and release process, design electronics enclosures, and mentor other engineers in a technically demanding

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural or aerospace engineering or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in spacecraft or flight hardware mechanical design.
• Experience owning a drafting standard and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Own the mechanical configuration of the spacecraft and the spacecraft mass properties budget.
• Define interfaces to subcontractor, customer and launch vehicle hardware.
• Establish the drafting standard and GD&T practice per ASME Y14.5; lead the drawing review and release process.
• Lead the design of electronics enclosures.
• Mentor engineers.
