Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to lead MES implementation, smart torque tool integration, and manufacturing automation across facilities. You will drive quality improvements, traceability, and process consistency in collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Production, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Quality Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or related field.
• Experience implementing and supporting MES in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing automation, smart torque systems, industrial traceability, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience with automated assembly equipment, robotics, vision inspection systems, and manufacturing data analytics.
• Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing data analysis tools.
• Preferred: knowledge of thermal cooling equipment, metal cutting/bending, brazing and welding, and ERP/PLC integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES implementation and maintenance across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and deploy quality technologies including smart torque systems and automated inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and standardize quality processes, work instructions, control plans, and best practices.
• Monitor processes and quality performance using data-driven methods to identify improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product launches by validating processes, quality systems, and production readiness.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce defects and improve productivity.
• Develop and report key quality metrics like CP, FTY, defect rates, and equipment performance.
• Provide technical leadership and training on MES, smart manufacturing, and quality systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and integrators to ensure successful long-term technology adoption.
